Hold a Birthday Party at the Adventure Zone!
Our newly renovated 'Big Room' party room, with a Capacity of 45 people: 30 kids, and 15 adults. It also has 3 wide windows overlooking the beauty & bustle of Granville Island. There's a minimum of 12 kids for the Big Room, as folks with more guests really do prefer this one (each Birthday Package includes the first 8 kids, additional pricing per additional kids - see Package Info picture.)
This is our newly renovated Party Room 2. It is a smaller room measuring about 10 feet x 22 feet, with a table that can seat up to 12. This room would be suitable for smaller parties with a capacity of 14 kids, 6 adults. We are planning on having a mural designed for the opposite wall.
What Makes our Birthday Parties Special?
Book a birthday party with us, and you'll see why we are so popular with countless frazzled parents with less than fond memories of their last at-home birthday party. We offer just the right balance of interactive physical play, and mental and fine motor challenge for kids.
Our i-Wall interactive game system is a unique video interactive platform where kids throw balls at virtual fruits or virtual thieving monkeys.to take them down and win points playing head to head.
In the Circuit Circus Games Zone, children earn tickets by mastering various games of timing & coordination (like Skee-Ball, Monster Drop, and a giant sized Fruit Ninja game.). Then they "buy" their prizes at our generously supplied Prize Zone. This is where kids' eyes really light up, as they haggle for prizes with their hard-earned tickets.

We can accomodate Pinatas, and can help you set one up, hanging it from a ceiling beam if you have one. Here, you can see it's a Mario Pinata Party well under way! (Mario Pinata not included, of course)
And here's the video!
You'll have a party assistant to help you through, and they can be as engaged or hands-off as you require. And the best part is, we clean up everything after you!
As one enthused birthday kid once said to us (in an unprompted testimonial), "Those 2 hours felt like 2 minutes!". Our guess is that that's how you too would want to feel at the end of a party.
Our 3 birthday party packages and various add-ons are outlined below:
Please call us at (604) 608-6699 if you are unclear about any details. (Please note new pricing - below - starting with parties booked on February 15, 2023)
Note: Due to recent incidences involving balloons getting caught in the building's HVAC system and the outside power lines, helium balloons will no longer be allowed in the Kids Market Building. Regular non-helium balloons will continue to be allowed, though.
Typical Party Rundown
Run-down of a Typical Adventure Zone B-Day Party
As mentioned, the party helper is there to keep track of the time. We like to structure the party a little so the kids get to try all the activities. (Although if you prefer a freer schedule, that's totally up to you)
For a typical party, say our "Combo Package" (our most popular package), then we might schedule the activities like this:
Arrival
There is a loading zone in front of the Kids Market building where you can park for about 15 minutes. You can then drop off all of your party paraphernalia in the party room, and go find parking afterwards, saving you the hassle of lugging all those things from your car.
We say you can arrive about 5 minutes before your party time slot. If you arrive a little earlier than this, we may still be preparing your room, but you are free to leave your things in the Ribbits Corner. If you have a cake (especially an ice cream cake), then you may leave some things in the refrigerator, or even in the freezer compartment (it will fit the standard Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake).
Your Party Begins
As the party kids arrive (they likely won't arrive all at the same time), we'll give each child a party wristband (it's a distinct one for each party room), so we know they are part of the party. Then we whisk the kids off to the playground where the rest of the kids are playing.

The Playground
Then the kids will spend the next 30-40 minutes in the multi-level playground - this is where they'll find the new attraction called iWall (a large interactive wall where throw balls at maurauding monkeys, fruits, Mummies, the like...) and iFloor (it's like a giant iPad floor platform, where kids play hockey, or jump on bubbles and bugs, all video interactive games). Also, the playground is where they'll find the giant slide that goes downstairs to the ball pit).
The gate to the playground can then be controlled if you require. You also have this first 40 minutes to set up the party room if you need to. As you can see in the pictures above, the rooms are already decorated to a degree, with table-cloths, Happy Birthday banners, Party Balloons, and woodland creatures on the wall murals. But some parents also like to go to town and theme up the party room by hanging giant 'static cling' posters and cardboard cut-outs of Popular characters (no thumbtacks, please).

Time for Eats
Then, 30-40 minutes into the party, the party helper will corral the kids in the playground and tell them it's time to head into the party room and have pizza and cake, and maybe sing happy birthday. (You can bring your own food and beverages.
If you decide to order pizza, please have it delivered about 15 minutes after the start of the party. We usually schedule the eating time at about 40 minutes into the party. We have a pizza warmer if you are worried about pizzas getting cold.
For pizzas: we might suggest Uncle Fatih near Broadway City Hall Station ( click here for their link ); but only because they are familiar with our location and are punctual but we are no longer affiliated with them; so it's totally up to you, of course.
The kids wash their hands at the sink, and then it's 30 minutes tops in the party room, before the kids start getting restless again, itching for some activity.

Arcade Fun
So then the party helper will explain how the kids arcade works (it's a kids arcade, with simple to intermediate games like Hungry Dog, Whack A Frog, and Ice Man, or the brand new racing game called Big Foot Crush; it's certainly not the Video Arcade you might remember from yore, full of lounging teenagers in bell bottoms circa 1983.). The party helper will explain what to do with the new Game Card system we now have in place - to take the cards to the prize zone and exchange them for prizes. Then, each party kid gets a Game Card preloaded with credits and the rest of the party will be taken up by playing the games for tickets (which are stored on the cards).
The goal in the kid's arcade is for the kids to win as many tickets as they can, and then trade the tickets in for prizes in the Prize Zone. The part where they haggle for prizes, this would usually be the highlight of the party.
Meanwhile, back in the party room: by about 15-20 minutes before the party ends, we can start to help you pack your things, while the kids are still playing. We do all the cleaning up, of course. You just need to pick up your things and go.

The Party Ends
The 2 hour duration of the party is really for the use of the party room, so that it needs to be vacated at the end of your time slot and we can get it ready for the next party, which happens in 30 minutes.
The balance of the party expenses (based on a final count of the number of kids) can then be settled at the Ribbit's Corner at the end of the party proper.
